Getting a clean shot
Prop the phone up and frame your set. Don’t move it again.
In Camera, pick your lens and lock exposure & focus. That lock is what stops the finished movie flickering.
Turn on Voice. Move your puppet, then say “capture”.
It waits for the picture to stop moving before it shoots, so a knocked table postpones the frame instead of ruining it.
Say “delete” to drop the last frame, “play” to preview.

Tap a frame to select it, then use the arrows above to move it
through the running order — or press and hold, then drag it. Either way
the frame keeps its hold, so a frame held ×3 dropped between 1 and 2 becomes
the new frame 2, still ×3.

Drag the right edge of any frame on V1 to stretch or shorten how long it
holds — the waveform underneath stays put, so you can pull a frame until the
action lands on the sound. Tap either track to scrub. Add marker drops a
beat while it plays; select a frame, tap a marker, then Snap to retime
everything before it at once.

Lock exposure and focus before you shoot. Auto-exposure re-meters
between frames and makes the finished movie strobe — it’s the single
biggest thing separating clean stop motion from unusable stop motion.
